Pinrang – SU (51), a man from Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi, dared to assault his wife’s mistress AB (53), by slashing her with a machete. SU committed the assault because he was jealous of his wife’s affair with the victim.
Kasat Reskrim of Pinrang Police, Iptu Akhmad Risal, said that the assault was carried out by the perpetrator by slashing the victim’s head after finding his wife having an affair.
He explained that the incident began when the perpetrator was looking for his wife to discuss the continuation of their marriage after they separated. However, when the perpetrator arrived at a boarding house in the Paleteang area, he caught his wife being intimate with another man inside the boarding house room. In a fit of rage, the perpetrator immediately attacked the victim and his wife by slashing their heads.
As a result of the assault, the victim of his wife’s affair suffered open wounds to the head and was taken to the hospital. The wife also suffered several injuries.
The police, who received the report, immediately arrested the perpetrator on Sunday, December 24, early morning. The perpetrator admitted to assaulting the victim out of emotions and jealousy upon discovering his wife’s affair.
Currently, the perpetrator is undergoing further legal proceedings at the Pinrang Police Station.
