Medan – Harianto, a representative of fishermen from Belawan, North Sumatra, expressed his happiness at meeting presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. Representing his friends, he conveyed their aspirations regarding the welfare of the fishermen in Belawan to the presidential candidate, who is paired with vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“Earlier, I had the opportunity to meet Pak Prabowo up close, and it is a pride for us to be able to meet the number one person. We conveyed a message to pay attention to us small fishermen in Belawan, so that we can prosper,” said Harianto, who met Prabowo at a lunch event with Prabowo, attended by fishermen, farmers, and motorized pedicab (bentor) drivers at Restoran Kembang, Medan, North Sumatra, on Saturday, (13/1/2024).
Harianto continued that they had taken the initiative to come all the way from Belawan. According to them, the welfare program for fishermen proposed by Prabowo-Gibran is good for them.
“We in Belawan only have concerns about the presence of purse seine nets that disrupt the marine ecosystem. The fish are dwindling, and earlier, Pak Prabowo mentioned the welfare of fishermen, and we are interested and came here,” said Harianto.
Harianto and his friends hope that Indonesia will be led by Prabowo Subianto, because their goal is the same as what Prabowo wants, which is welfare.
“It seems that Prabowo-Gibran should lead this country. We support it, last night we also declared (campaigning) at sea, supporting Prabowo-Gibran.
