Prabowo Welcomes Brazilian President’s Plan for Business Leaders in Indonesia

The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia during a bilateral meeting at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo welcomed the plan as a significant step towards enhancing cooperation between the two nations, especially in trade and investment. He highlighted the potential for tangible collaboration between Indonesia and Brazil, citing common interests and abundant natural resources in both countries.

During the meeting, Prabowo praised Brazil’s advancements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing his eagerness to learn from their experiences. He also appreciated President Lula’s offer to support Indonesia’s efforts to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations in agriculture and technology. In addition to their discussions, Prabowo’s visit to Brazil included attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

Looking ahead, President Lula is expected to visit Indonesia in October, where Prabowo mentioned plans for a special celebration in Jakarta to commemorate Lula’s 80th birthday. The ongoing dialogue between Indonesia and Brazil signifies a commitment to fostering mutual understanding and collaboration for the benefit of both nations.
