President’s Commitment to Next Generation: Free Health Checks by Youth and Sports Minister Dito

Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo recently visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta in Rawamangun, East Jakarta to oversee the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program. This initiative, part of a nationwide launch happening simultaneously in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens across Indonesia, reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to the well-being of young Indonesians. Minister Dito highlighted the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles among students and the significance of early detection of health issues to ensure timely intervention. The CKG program involves health screenings covering various aspects, including physical fitness, dental and eye health, mental well-being, and more. Aiming to examine 1,600 students, the program kicked off at SMKN 26 Jakarta where 131 tenth-grade students participated in the initial screenings. The national launch of CKG Sekolah featured educational sessions on healthy living habits and saw the presence of distinguished individuals such as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and notable athletes. President Prabowo’s vision for a reformed national healthcare system underscores the importance of preventive and promotive care, with CKG targeting 53.8 million students across all educational levels. Since its rollout, over 16 million Indonesians have benefited from the program, setting the stage for improved healthcare access and support for the country’s future goals.
