Prabowo Receives U.S. Special Operations Command Honor Medal

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, had a meeting with General Bryan Patrick Fenton, the Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting was characterized by a warm exchange between the two leaders as they discussed their commitment to strengthening defense cooperation between Indonesia and the United States.

During the meeting, General Fenton presented President Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal, recognizing his exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing U.S.–Indonesia defense relations, particularly in the field of special operations. General Fenton praised President Prabowo’s visionary leadership and his efforts to enhance bilateral defense ties and international collaboration, including with the United States, in areas such as counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security.

President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya during the meeting. General Fenton also presented President Prabowo with a ceremonial gift, stating humorously that he believed it would look great in the President’s office.
