The 80th Independence Day celebration in Indonesia at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta on August 17 was filled with enthusiasm as citizens from various regions participated in a cultural parade towards the State Palace. Amidst the vibrant festivities, heartfelt prayers and hopes were expressed for President Prabowo Subianto and the future of the nation.
Aryati, a resident of Karanganyar Subdistrict in Sawah Besar District, expressed her gratitude for being part of the parade. She stated her excitement and happiness to participate in the event, pointing out her hopes for Indonesia to progress and prosper, especially for its people. Aryati also offered a special prayer for President Prabowo’s health and wished for peace, prosperity, and harmony for all Indonesian citizens.
Echoing Aryati’s sentiments, her companion emphasized the importance of national unity and positive changes that benefit everyone in Indonesia. She hoped for health, prosperity, and safety for all citizens, while calling for unity and brotherhood among different ethnic groups and religions.
Satim, a resident of Kampung Rawa in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, expressed his pride and happiness in joining the celebration. He expressed his wishes for greater success, progress, prosperity, and welfare for Indonesia, as well as a stronger leadership that serves the people. For these citizens, the event at Monas was not just a celebration but an expression of love for their nation and a collective hope for lasting peace.
